Project description:

Together with the Dutch ministry of economic affairs, climate infrastructure and water management, TenneT TSO is working on a new high voltage connection between Borssele and Tilburg. This connection is necessary because the current High voltage grid doesn’t fulfil the requirements for the future anymore. The connection consists of two parts: Zuid- West 380 kV West (Borsselle- Rilland) and Zuid-West 380 kV Oost (Rilland- Tilburg).

Activities of Energy Solutions:

For the project Zuid-West 380kV Oost, two employees of Energy Solutions joined the TenneT  project team as cable engineer. They are responsible for the following activities:

• Perform a feasibility study for all possible  150kV and 380kV  cable routes
• Draft a basic design for various 150kV and 380kV  cable routes
• Draft the  project specifications for the high voltage cable tender
• Assistance during the tender phase of the civil works and high voltage cable
• Design review for the civil works and cable design
• Assistance during the testing and commissioning phase of the project
