Windfarm NOP Agrowind

Project: Onshore Wind Energy
Client: NOP-Agrowind
Location: Noordoostpolder
Year: 2013 - 2016

Project description:

Members of “Koepel Windenergie Noordoostpolder” are planning to construct the largest wind farm of the Netherlands. This wind farm will be located both onshore as near shore at the IJsselmeer to the west side of the Noordoostpolder. In total, 86 windturbines will be connected to the Dutch grid. NOP Agrowind is part of the wind farm which will be constructed onshore along thee Westermeerdijk and Noordermeerdijk. it consists of 26 wind turbines, Enercon E-126, with a rated power of 7,5MW each. The produced energy will be transported by 33kV cables to the Agrowind high viltage substation where the voltage will be transformed to 110kV. This substation will be constructed next to high voltage substation Westermeerdijk from TenneT TSO. On July 17, 2014, the 110/33kV substation has been commisioned. The first string to the windturbines has been energized on the 8th of August 2014. At the end of 2015 all windturbines have been installed and commisioned.

Activities of Energy Solutions:

Energy Solutions plays an important role during the design and construction phase of this project. The following activities will be executed in cooperation with NOP Agrowind:

  • Design of specifications for the electrical infrastructure.
  • Technical support during tender process.
  • Project support during the engineeringconstruction and commissioning/testing phase. Both for the electrical infrastructure of the windfarm as the interface with TenneT TSO.
  • Desk study for spare parts based on risk calculation for the NOP Agrowind electrical infrastructure.
