Project description:

Near Waddinxveen, Return Energy constructs one of the first large type D battery energy storage systems (BESS) of The Netherlands. This BESS called “Antares” is project financed and will have a power rating of 100 MW and a battery capacity of 200 MWh.

Activities of Energy Solutions:

Return has commissioned Energy Solutions to handle the complete grid compliance process with TenneT for BESS Antares. This includes communication with TenneT and the battery and high-voltage substation suppliers, and conducting various grid compliance studies: reactive power capability, power quality, insulation coordination, and dynamic studies, ultimately obtaining the EON, ION and FON certificates from TenneT.
